We’re looking for the right person to join our Public Health Emergency Preparedness Team as the next Disaster Behavioral Health Coordinator
The right candidate will have a public health/clinician/educator background with demonstrated interest in disaster behavioral health as well as public health and volunteer management to coordinate and implement the Disaster Behavioral Health (DBH) preparedness and response initiatives for the Maine CDC as well as prepare and oversee the DBH Volunteer Response Team. AdCare is seeking to add a Disaster Behavioral Health Coordinator to work within our contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Our current Disaster Behavioral Health Coordinator, Megan Salois, will be transitioning out of this role and joining EMS where she will continue to be a strong advocate for disaster behavioral health initiatives and will support the new Disaster Behavioral Health Coordinator with training and orientation. The preparedness community in Maine is fairly small so it is always to our collective advantage when a colleague, like Megan, is able to remain actively engaged on multiple fronts.
